Georgi Stanoev

Young Gun

Georgi’s team is focused on the complexity of the global economy and provides Shard Fund with a thorough understanding of the macro climate. Personally, he is responsible for covering the dynamics of the US economy. Also, Georgi supervises the team, and ensures the research is translated into investable macro themes. They are discussed in the weekly publication ‘Sierra’, which is also a responsibility of the Global Macro department.

Georgi holds an MSc in Banking and Finance from University of Sussex and a BSc Management degree from Royal Holloway, University of London. He was an Operations Director at the Investment and Finance society SIIGAS at the University of Sussex. Georgi passed the CFA Level 1 exam, while finishing his bachelor’s degree. His work experience spans across management consulting, accounting and asset management.

As part of his many interests, Georgi enjoys playing poker, volleyball and chess. The latter is mostly used as a brain workout and he confesses that his ‘game’ is quite average.

Stelian Nenkov

Young Gun

A co-founder of Shard Fund and a past Shard Fund family member. From October 2016, Stelian stepepd down to perusue new challanges.

He holds an MSc in Financial Risk and Invesment analysis and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics, both from the University of Sussex. Stelian was the Chairman of the University of Sussex Student Investment Club (USSIC) and of the Investment and Finance society SIIGAS, after being on the committee for three years. His professional work experience is in the area of trading and asset management.

Stelian is a passionate freeskier and snowmobile rider. When off the mountain he also loves spending time surfing and playing rugby.
